The non-places where the state passed but didn't stay there for long, was already looking for the next emergency. History repeats itself, L'Aquila in 2009, Amatrice in 2016. The absent and still incredulous gaze of the survivors who came out from under the rubble, of their life, that from that moment would never be the same. The alarm clocks beat the little time available for the rescuers to save the people under the rubble that digging their bare hands in the rubble.
The silence was broking by the ringtone of unanswered mobile phones under the rubble. For all the time inside the rubble I I breathed concrete dust. In some places I realized that I was walking on the first floor of the houses where there was the street below. I photographed that village few years earlier for Touring Magazine. I was one of the first photographers to arrive in Amatrice a few hours after the earthquake. Pescara del Tronto, is completely razed to the ground. After the failed attempts of Genoa and Juventus clubs, due to a permission denied by the Iranian Federation, a rupture of the meniscus, Shiva tried to referee but the final decision was the coaching exam for the youth teams. After few years in Switzerland as an asylum seeker, she decided to come in Italy, where obtained a residence permit. Following the threats of the Iranian authorities to her family and the possibility of being arrested in her country, Shiva decided doesn’t return to Iran. She was on vacation in Switzerland on 2017, when she posted some photos of her playing with friends, without a headscarf and in shorts on social media.
